On July 18th, 2024, at approximately 8:39 a.m., Investigator Kendra Goodwin of the Wetumka Police Department received a call from the City Manager regarding stolen property discovered at the apartments on Grand Avenue. City workers Roger Absher and Cody Wright had identified items believed to have been taken from Wetumka Lake.

Descendants of the late Lawrence and Margurite French descended on the town of Clearview in the Old School gym on July 13th to celebrate once again the memories family members long gone and to celebrate the present.
