Sharell Louise Pope was born September 14, 1965 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Edward V. and Betty L. (Dunn) Pope. She passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the age of 56. Sharell, also known by many as “Griz”, was a loving homemaker and mom who enjoyed reading anything with true crime, listening to music and traveling. She was also a member of the Thlewarle Church of Dustin, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, four sisters, nephews and youngest son, Mecco Taylor. Survivors include two sons, James “J.B.” Keener of Tahlequah and Bo Frenchman of Okmulgee; four daughters, Francis Wolfe of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Anette Frenchman of Tulsa, Alexia Frenchman of Tulsa and Rebecca Whitlow of Henryetta; two brothers, Benjie Pope and wife Judy of Las Cruces and Robert “Tarzan” Taylor of Henryetta; lifelong friends, Trellas Patterson of Okmulgee, Kat Powell of Okemah and Angie Barrett of Henryetta; 24 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews including a special niece, Angie Lawson of Tennessee and a many dear friends. Serving as honorary bearers were Robert Taylor Jr., Emilio Taylor-Soto, Mecco Taylor, Killian Taylor, Johnny Powell Jr., Frank Kelly, DJ Thomas and Devon Taylor. Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
