She attended Eufaula Boarding school, Chilocco Boarding School, where she was nominated the “most friendly.” She went to work at Modern Bindery in Tulsa from where she retired.

Stephanie Gail Pigeon-Brown was born June 23, 1963 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Jessie Pigeon and Mary Jean Hicks. Her grandparents were Charlie Mike, Lily Tiger Hicks, along with Joseph and Jenette Green Pigeon. Stephanie graduated from Weleetka High School in May 1981. Then she attended Connor State College in Warner, Oklahoma and Sapulpa votech with a certificate in medical assistance, then she started working for Creek Nation Health Symposium in November 1988. She kept working until September 2010 in medical records.
