Wetumka Chieftains

WetumkaPublicSchoolshostedthe8-ManState Weight Meet! February 14 was the Jr. High Meet and today, February 15 was the High School State Meet. Coach Devon Reid coordinated the meet and most of our Chieftain coaching staff assisted in many ways. Amy Morrison and family organized the hospitality room, the meet announcements, and the judges among other duties. Principal/ Athletic Director Darrell Reid corralled the lifters, the weight jockeys and everything else that came up. Christy Mcgirt coordinated the concession stand. Breanna Osborn watched students and took concession money. The custodians worked tirelessly throughout it all. Patricia Marshall Richmond and Misty Bowman sold shirts and ran the gate. Jennifer Fricke manned the phones and student placement, Jennifer Proctor Lee took pictures for lifters and the paper.
