The Tony Dean Memorial Scholarship Tournament was held Saturday September 17th and we are so glad everyone came to play and have a good time on the course. I cannot say thank you enough to all who helped with putting it on or that donated to the tournament.

But tonight, at the junior high football game at Graham- Dustin against Maud I witnessed what the whole world needs a little more of. We should accept people for their differences and be kind in the process. These two teams and their coaches allowed a very special young man named Canon score the final points. Years from now it won’t matter that Maud won or that the game technically ended early. It will matter that Canon made the final run down the field and scored a touchdown cheered on by both teams, their coaches and their fans. Early in the game I observed Canon waiting on the sidelines and sitting outside the huddle. But I looked up at the final play I managed to capture these photos of this very special moments.

Read moreJordan, granddaughter of Donnie and Shirley Nero and daughter of Tanya and Marvin Blades and sister of Jada and Makai carries on the tradition of being an athletic in the family. This year, Jordan made the 2022 Metro Lakes All Confernece Basketball Team and her 4x1 track team brough home 3 rd in the State 5A track meet at Ardmore last week. She also qualified in the 4x4, 200 and 100 but did not medal. She says, wait until next year. Jordan is a junior at Glenpool High School.
