Aline Farris Woods

Aline Farris Woods died May 1, 2023 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was born October 21, 1931 to Ernest and Willie Mae Cowden in Lindsay, Oklahoma.

Aline worked at the Holdenville, Daily News a few years; at Krumme Cable Company in Holdenville, Okmulgee and Grove, Oklahoma. She owned the first Sears catalog

store in Holdenville. Aline retired from the Department of Human Services in 1997. Following retirement, she worked as manager of Savanna Park in Holdenville, managed Brookstone Housing Development in Seminole, Oklahoma for three years. She then worked for Joe Oliphant as a liaison the last several years. Aline was a member of the First Assembly of God in Holdenville.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Elzie Morrison, her former husband, Louis Woods. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Carl Wayne Mc-Daniel and daughter-in-law, Donna Farris.

Aline was married to Donald Ray Farris in June 1949, and they had three children, Donald Dale Farris of Midwest City, OK, Sharlene (Sherry) McDaniel and Terry Ray and Kelly Farris, all of Holdenville.

She is survived by grandchildren, Jason and Melissa Farris, Midwest City; Matt and Shonda Mc Daniel, Randy and Tonya McDaniel, all of Holdenville; Terry Ray and Natasha Farris, Oklahoma City; Brett Farris, also of Oklahoma City; Jordan and Rebekah Farris of Ada, OK and Faith Farris of Oklahoma City. She leaves behind nine great grandchildren and five great, great grandchil dren with one on the way.

Viewing will be 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 5, 2023 at Savanna Cemetery in Savanna, Oklahoma.
