Amy Dawn Lemmings
Amy Dawn Lemmings passed away at her home in Wetumka, Oklahoma on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the age of 48 years.
Amy is the daughter of Andrew Jackson Newton III & Anna Mae (Swift) Newton, born on December 5, 1976, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up in the Horntown/Yeager area and attended Moss Schools, graduating Moss High School with the Class of 1995. She attended and graduated Carl Albert Junior College in Poteau on a basketball scholarship. She worked for several years at Heritage Village Nursing Home. Her various places of employment included Rudy Alan’s Steakhouse in Wewoka where she worked as bartender, and later J-Weezy’s Chill & Grill in Holdenville until she retired due to health issues. Delbert Kibby was her life partner for fifteen years. She enjoyed riding horses, crafting, baking, and she loved watching her son play sports.
She is preceded in death by her father, Andrew Jackson Newton III; her mother, Anna Mae (Swift) Satterwhite; two infant sons, Drew Jackson and Andy Joe Kibby; sister Andrea Crawford and brother Andrew Jackson Newton IV; brother-in-law Keith Kindrick.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert Kibby, of the home; two sons, Darren Sisco of Wewoka and Hunter Kibby of the home; stepson Joseph Kibby of Weleetka and three stepdaughters: Jessie Kibby of Weleetka, Kayla Lemmings and Nicole Lemmings, both of Helena, Montana; sister Jerrianna Kindrick of Henryetta; brother-in-law Donald Crawford of Yeager; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, other family members, and many friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, 3:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, with Rev.
