Erline Simpson Barber

Erline Barber was born to George and Rosie Simpson in Clearview, Oklahoma. She grew up with her sister Ruby Simpson. She was married W. T. Barber and through this union four children were born. Erline was a foster parent to many children raising an additional seven along with her own. Erline was a pilar of her community and loved by everyone.

On October 6, 2021, God reached down and whispered to Erline and said, “job well done, I give you eternal rest.” She leaves behind thirty-five grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Darlene Simpson was born August 12, 1962, to Erline and W. T. Barber in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She later moved with her family to Wichita, Kansas. She attended Mizpah Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and on the junior usher board
