Mildred Fay Smith was born on August 1, 1934 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Sam and Alma Hill. She passed from this life on March 26, 2025 in Holdenville.

Mildred was born and raised in Wetumka. She attended Wetumka Schools as a young girl. On May 8, 1953, she married her husband, Donald Smith. To this union were born two daughters, Patricia and Donna. Mildred and Donald would move their family a few times to places like Seminole, Okemah, Henryetta, and Okmulgee. However, they would always make their way back home to Wetumka.

Mildred was a member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church of Holdenville. She was always willing to care for anyone who needed taken care of. She loved being outside. She enjoyed working with her flowers and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed mowing the grass. Family members would come and try to take on the duty of mowing, but she never would let them.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Alma Hill; her daughter, Donna Smith Ray; three brothers, Irvin Hill, Pete Hill, and Alvin Hill; as well as two sisters, Evelyn Basquez and Margaret Timmons.

Left to cherish Mildred’s memory are her daughter, Patricia Greer of Stillwater; grandson Dennis Marshall and his children, Jaxon, Kali and Lainey all of Stillwater; granddaughter Tammy Graham and husband Kevin, and their children and grandchildren Brent and Jessica Peters, Ryan Peters, Keegan Peters, Madelynn Peters; Chelsea Graham, Riley Jones; Charlie and Nikki Graham, Karson Graham, Harrison Graham, and Gabriel Graham; granddaughter Jamie Lysinger and husband Andy and their children and grandchildren, Racheal Hamilton, Acelyn Hamilton, Anakin Hamilton; Randy and Grace Baldwin, Weston Baldwin; Kolton and Jessica Rossman, Nikiah Lysinger, and Kiana Lysinger; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mildred Smith was held in the Spradlin Memory Chapel on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

A graveside funeral service was held at the Wetumka Cemetery Pavillion on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM.

Rev. Earl Scroggins officiated.

Services were under the direction of Williamson- Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
