Our sympathies extended to the families of David Garvin Shropshire

David Garvin Shropshire, was born on August 3, 1951 and he passed away on February 4, 2022. He was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma and lived as a long-time resident of Weleetka.

David worked as a factory worked during his life, and he also joined the marines in 1971 and served his country through 1976.

David is preceded in death by his wife Charolette Shropshire, his mother Mildred Inez Owens, his father Garvin Q. Shropshire, his brothers Clifford and Jerry Shropshire and his sister Gloria Haynes.

David is survived by his brother Ronnie Shropshire of Sapulpa, his stepson James Yandell of Weleetka, his stepdaughter Kimberly Winn of Weleetka, and by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services for David Shropshire will be graveside services held at the pavilion in Weleetka’s Hillcrest Cemetery old section at 1 P.M. on Friday, February 11, with interment to follow in Weleetka’s Hillcrest Cemetery new section following the service. Rev. Donnie Williamson will be officiating the service. Honorary pallbearers will be J.H. Goswick, Scott Shropshire, and Chris Beasley. Services will be conducted and overseen through and by Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka and Weleetka.
