Funeral services for Jonathan B. Books, resident of Weleetka, Oklahoma, were held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Weleetka Assembly of God Church with Bro. Robert Bray officiating. Immediately following the service, there was a time of community fellowship and remembering times together in the fellowship hall of the church. There was no graveside service.
Jonathan Bernard Books, “JB” was born February 13, 1949 to Jack and Betty Jane. He passed from this life to be with the Lord eternally Saturday morning, February 5, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the young age of 72. He will be missed by everyone.
Jonathan and his wife, Joy were married August 11, 1994. After Jonathan retired from truck driving, they came to make their home in Weleetka, August of 2021. Jonathan loved to study the Bible, history, and various other subjects. He was a lifetime learner. He liked traveling with his wife Joy, playing with his grandchildren and riding his Harley Davidson. He and Joy attended the Assembly of God Church of Weleetka.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Joy of the home; his son Larry Fabulous of St. Petersburg, Florida; His two daughters, Kristi Bridges and husband Richard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Keri Jangula and husband Josh of West Fargo, North Dakota; one brother, two sisters and over a dozen grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to “The Bread House” of Henryetta, Oklahoma in Jonathan’s name. Mark and Kim Collins feed and clothe the homeless there.
