Ronnie William Stringfellow
Ronnie William Stringfellow passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 75.
Ronnie was born December 28, 1948 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Lloyd William Stringfellow and Ina (Smith) Stringfellow. Ronnie graduated from Moss Public School in the Class of 1967. After graduation, he attended Eastern then transferred to OSU and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1971.
Ronnie married Saundra (McBryde) Jones on July 29, 1977 in Durant, Oklahoma. Ronnie enjoyed his cattle, ranching, ball games, livestock shows, and teaching at Crowder. He was an avid OSU Cowboy fan. Ronnie was owner of Horntown Grocery, Quickway in Wetumka, Allford Oil in Holdenville and managed Foster Propane. In his later years, he was an officer at Davis Correctional Facility. Ronnie loved spending time with his family, friends and classmates.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, and sons Alan Jones and Jason Stringfellow.
He is survived by his wife Saundra Stringfellow of the home; daughter Melinda Wells and husband Jay of Chandler; grandchildren Hillary Curry (Kade), Hayley Chamberlain (Brandon), Wyatt Jones, Matthew Jones (Avery), Kylie Dye (David), Carter Stringfellow, and Jaxon Stringfellow; greatgrandchildren Hadley Humphreys, Thea Curry, Lily Chamberlain, Sage Jones, Clara Jones, and Ledger Dye; sibling Sharon Nolen and husband Richard of Holdenville; nephews Kevin Nolen, and Danny Nolen; niece Nannette Chapmon; and nephew J.M. McBryde. Ronnie is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Tuesday, September 3rd, at First Baptist Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Rev. Kenneth Orsburn Jr. and Pastor Sam Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Wyatt Jones, Matthew Jones, Kevin Nolen, Danny Nolen, Jay Wells, Keanon Simon and Justin Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers are Jackie Mills, Ronnie Smith, Jackie Smith, Leland Walker, Richard Nolen, Mike Filson, Joe French, Robert Coates, Ray Baldwin, Don McCarn, Pete Huff and Rick May.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, Oklahoma.
