Service Thursday for Peggy Meeks

Peggy Lou Meeks passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

Peggy was born January 24, 1938 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Charley Shoopman and Jeanetta (Vaughn) Shoopman. Peggy graduated from Wewoka High School. She had been married to Ivan Ray Hudson for 42 years. Peggy married Doil Ray Meeks April 15, 2000. She had worked as a sales associate with the Walmart family for many years. Peggy is preceded in

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Charley and Jeanetta Vaughn Shoopman; her first husband of 42 years, Ivan Ray Hudson; her second husband of 15 years, Doil Meeks; two siblings Deanie Scott, and Ronald Shoopman; and one grandson, Karter Ray.

She is survived by her four children, Randy Hudson of Holdenville, Sheila Rae Hudson of Holdenville, Lisa Sneed of Ada, and Deena Jean Hudson of Holdenville; God-daughter Kimberly Elisa Sullivan; six grandchildren, Shawn Ballard of Tecumseh, Amie Sumner of Michigan, Chad Ball of Michigan, Lacy Kae Sneed of Seminole, Chelsea Sneed of Shawnee, and

Hudson Sneed of Byng; seventeen great-grandchildren; three siblings, June Epperson of Ft Worth, Texas, Alice Stotts of Oklahoma, and Gerald Factor of Wetumka.

A private family chapel service will be 2:00 PM Thursday April 9, 2020 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry McDaniel officiat ing. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
