Norma Jean Fields
The Funeral Service will be held for Norma Jean (Rose) Fields on January 2 at 10:30am at Wetumka First Baptist Church with Claude Butler, Daniel Ingle, and Randy McCown officiating.
Norma was born in her home on April 2nd, 1932 in Whitesboro, Oklahoma to Oscar and Pearl Ora (Smith) Rose.
Norma went to Heaven to be with Jesus on December 23, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 91.
Norma was raised in Whitesboro and was a graduate of Whitesboro High School in 1951.
Norma asked Jesus to be her Lord and Savior when she was 16 years old in Kinta, Oklahoma and she was baptized in a pond.
Following graduation, she worked for Kiamichi Electric.
She married the love of her life Kenneth Dean Fields on November 10th, 1951.
In 1960 Kenneth and Norma moved to Wetumka where they were active members of the First Baptist Church and she taught Sunday school for many years. Norma worked for the Bank of Commerce in Wetumka for 22 years. However, her priority and joy of her life was raising and taking care of her family.
Kenneth and Norma raised their three children in Wetumka, and they were married for almost 64 years.
Norma enjoyed her family. She truly had a servant’s heart and would do anything to help her family. From cooking big meals every Sunday after church to individually praying and pouring into each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She taught them to serve and love God. To make memories and to live each day as if it were your last. She was proceeded in death by her husband: Kenneth Fields, Parents: Oscar and Pearl Rose, Brothers: Elmer, Ernest, Ralph, and Kenneth Rose, Sisters: Gladys Frazier James, Opal Norvell, Audrey Juarez, and Josephine (Too- tie) Griffith, and Grandson Jeff Stuckey
Survivors Include her 2 sons, Mike Fields and wife Gayle of Sayre, OK and Randy Fields and wife Sandy of Wetumka; 1 daughter, Lisa Peel and husband Earl of Wetumka, 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Pallbearers: Bryan Fields, Kendale Fields, Chance Silas, John-Kyle Truitt, Galen Glover, Chad Mason, and Ben Nathman Interment will follow the service in the Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Willamson-Spradlin Funeral home of Wetumka.
