Claretta Faye Baker

Claretta Faye Baker passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68.

Claretta was born August 6, 1956 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Herman Travis and Christine Marie (Brown) Travis. Claretta completed her education with Wewoka Public School. She married David Baker on November 23, 1984 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Claretta was a Sales Clerk for Walmart for many years. She enjoyed dominoes, entertaining, traveling and loved music. Claretta loved spending time with her family.

Claretta is preceded in death by her parents; husband David Baker; son Quinten Travis; and siblings Herman Travis Jr., Eugene Travis and Eura Stene Miles.

She is survived by her son Bryant Travis of Broken Arrow; grandchildren Alicia Travis, Bryant Travis Jr., Kristchiana Travis, and Zacchaeus Travis; and siblings Eula Williams of Vivian, Louisiana, Francine Olden of Tulsa, Pauline Guerrin of Claremore, Gene Travis of Vivian, Louisiana, and Billy Johnson of Midwest City. Claretta is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Gravesideservicewere2:00 p.m., Monday, September 30th, at Buckner Cemetery with Pastor Willie Guient officiating. Interment followed at Buckner Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
