Work continues with the old school grounds parking lot. Sympathy is extended to the Ted Jackson family. Services for Ted Jackson will be graveside at 10:00 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery in Weleetka and a Memorial service at the Clearview gymnasium following. All are welcome to attend both services. Johnny West is home form the hospital on hospice. Please say a special prayer for the family. Wilbert and Ida Mae Zackery are now home from the hospital and doing better. Please continue your prayers for those on our sick list: Taft Forshee, Tiger French, Wilbert and Ida Mae Zackery, Lloyd Samilton, Yolanda Jackson, Becki Stripling, Christopher Stripling, L.C. and Irene Carson, Marjorie Plunkett, and Earnest Hamilton.

Labor Day Weekend in “The View”

Families are gearing up once again in Clearview to celebrate another Labor Day weekend. One family, the Golden Family, will meet during the holiday weekend for a century of meeting together, 100 years. The most popular story of the first reunion is that the matriarch of the family, Dolly Golden, requested of the man who married her daughter Dollie that if he moved her to California, he would bring her back to visit each year on her September 1st birthday. He made that promise and kept it each year before his death on April 19, 1989. at age 92.

Service to Be Held for Harold Leach

Harold Gene (HG) Leach passed from this life July 18, 2023 at his home in Okemah. Harold was born April 17, 1939 to Bill and Jewel Smith Leach at Seminole, OK where he lived until he was nine years old. The family then moved to the Bethel community north of Holdenville. Several years later they moved to the Little River area south of Holdenville. He graduated from Atwood High School.
