Read moreThe Okmulgee Beta Omicron Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority planted roses in the Town of Clearview as a community service project. Each year, the chapter choses a community service for either Boley, Clearview, or Okmulgee. This year, the chapter planted roses at the Main Street Community Center in Clearview, and they will plant two trees at the Community Park in Boley. Those chapter members participating were Cheryl Booth, Gail Jackson, Deloris Tarkington, Gretana Gonzales-Hall, Carol Smith, Sh'Lynn Carruthers, Deborah Owens, and Shirley Nero. Those from Clearview assisting were Donnie Nero and Marilyn Jackson. Also, Gretana Gonzales-Hall had two of her grandsons and Cheryl Booth had her granddaughter along for the experience of community service.
