Oklahoma’s Promise is a state program that provides an opportunity for students from families whose annual income is $55,000 or less to earn a tuition scholarship for college or certain programs at public career technology centers.

J.R. was 1 of 44 healthcare professionals honored at the event. This award recognizes individuals in healthcare that have gone above and beyond to help make Oklahoma a healthier, safer, and happier place to live and work. Polzien is a “Health Care Hero” due to her unwavering passion to ensure students are successful in their chosen healthcare profession. She has been a CareerTech educator for more than 20 years and is highly respected in Health Careers Education. Many healthcare professionals teach in healthcare careers; however, J.R.’s dedication to the health and welfare of Oklahoma’s communities make her stand out amongst her peers.
