Wilma Sue Collins

Wilma Sue Collins was born August 7, 1940, in Wetumka, Oklahoma to General Collins and Alpha Mae (Burkes) Collins and passed from this life July 1, 2024, in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

Ms. Collins was raised in Wetumka and was a graduate of Wetumka High School. She spent her entire life here until about eight years ago when she relocated to Holdenville due to failing health.

Ms. Collins is remembered as having a fantastic memory and could recall the birthday of each family member. She was part of a large family to which she was very devoted. She was a faithful member of the Wetumka Assembly of God Church until ill health hindered her activities. She loved The Lord and loved singing hymns and praises to Him.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings Joel Collins, Walter Collins, Mary Marsh, Jewell Evans, and Linda Skinner.

Survivors include: a sister, Ina Reams of Holdenville and a brother Bob Collins of Wetumka; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 5 at 2:00 PM at the Wetumka Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating. Pallbearers were Jared Stewart, Cody Rosson, Hartsell Brinlee, Gary Jennings, and Jeremy Clayton. Interment was in the Dustin Cemetery under the direction of Williamson- Spradlin Funeral
