Saundra Yaggi

Saundra Ann Yaggi passed away January 3rd, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born, March 22, 1942 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Stanley and Veneta Middleton. Her 80 years were full of love, dedication and devotion. She proved early in childhood to have a strong and beautiful heart, giving an abundance of love and care to her widowed mother and baby sister. As a young woman, she dedicated herself to raising her daughters in a household full of singing, and sewing matching outfits. She had a long career as a Secretary at Baldwin Park Uni- fied School District in Califor nia, and was admired for her kindness and loyalty all the way through to retirement. Halfway through her life, on October 18, 1982, Saundra married her best friend - devoting to him, her whole heart and her 40 remaining years.

Wetumka School Board Renews Superintendent’s Contract

At their regular meeting on February 6, 2023, the Wetumka Board of Education convened to discuss various items of business. The members present included Donna McGee, Rufus Scott, Allen Poole, John Curtis, Nina Maas, Donnie Williamson and Susan Tyra. After the invocation and flag sa lute, the meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by President Scott.
